CELTA Certificate from University of Cambridge - Cambridge English

Rachel was born and raised in London, UK.  After finishing her degree in History at the University of Bristol in 2011, she completed the CELTA course and became a qualified English teacher (CELTA Certificate – Cambridge English, University of Cambridge) and then moved to Uruguay to teach English.

 Courses Format

There are different types of courses. 

Short courses: Essential, Essential Plus, which deal with specific topics and Complete Courses: In Depth, Mastering English, which deal with wider areas of knowledge.

The length and duration are different for each type of course. You can do the short courses one by one and get credits for a complete course certificate, or you can do the complete course at once (In-Depth, Mastering English) which will include all the topics offered in the Essential courses.

It is the ideal course for

  • students preparing for the FCE exam who need to improve their writing skills and practice the specific format required in the exam,
  • teachers who need to prepare their students for this exam. The deep analysis and practice it provides can be of great benefit for teachers to fully understand the task.

You just need to have the right level of English

What can I do after this course?

You can take the Writing corrections course and send your writing tasks for corrections to get valuable feedback and feel well prepared for this paper of the exam. Getting your writings corrected at First (FCE)

Content

During this course you will:

  • Learn what it is expected in the FCE exam writing paper
  • Fully understand the task through clear analysis of each part
  • Practise choosing the best way to introduce, develop and conclude an essay
  • Learn how to write academic essays in general

Course Development

It is an interactive course which provides short explanatory videos (about 60 minutes in all), with accompanying presentation material and engaging self-correction quizzes to practise what you have learnt.

It can be done at anytime, anywhere. They reproduce a real class and you can watch them as many times as you want.

You will have access to our Virtual Campus where you will do some practice online and find study notes for each lesson.

 

Assessment

You are requiered to watch all the explanatory videos and complete the online practice.

  1. Confirmation of Application

Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email message, stating the course you have registered for and its main characteristics.

  1. Details for payment

  1. Login details and instructions
