Course Characteristics

This is a live virtual course that you can do anywhere.

It consists of virtual lessons, lasting approximately 90 minutes each, at a pre-arranged time.

You will meet the teacher and classmates in a virtual room which integrates audio, interactive board and the use of webcam for those who want to use it.

Starting Date and Duration

Starting date: March (March-November/December)

The course will require approximately 3 hours a week of virtual lessons and the idea is to complete it in 9 months.

 Courses Format

There are different types of courses. 

Short courses: Essential, Essential Plus, which deal with specific topics and Complete Courses: In Depth, Mastering English, which deal with wider areas of knowledge.

The length and duration are different for each type of course. You can do the short courses one by one and get credits for a complete course certificate, or you can do the complete course at once (In-Depth, Mastering English) which will include all the topics offered in the Essential courses.

It is the ideal course for those who want to develop professionally and want to certify their level of English with an internationally valid certificate.

Content

The course deals with the grammar, vocabulary and development of the skills necessary to get ready for the PET exam - Cambridge English.

It provides you with effective tools to perform well in each area of the exam: Reading & Writing, Speaking and Listening.

It will practise how to deal with the different kinds of exercises that will appear in the exam.

Course Development

They are lessons of approximately 90 minutes each, in a virtual room which integrates audio, interactive board and the use of webcam for those who want to use it.

You will be interacting with your classmates and tutor, being able to ask any questions along the course

The time is set. You choose the one convenient to you.

You will have access to our Virtual Campus where you can do some practice online and check the assignments after each class.

The lessons deal with all the different parts and exercises in the exam, and you will get valuable feedback on your performance along the course and your written work.

There are mock exams to assess the level of each student and advise them whether they are at the right level to sit for the exam or they need extra practice.

Assessment

To evaluate your progress along the year, you will be doing a final test with the exam format (passing mark 70%).

The test is done completely in our Virtual Campus.

Certificates awarded

You will receive a Statement of Completion for you to save and print.

This will show that you have successfully completed the preparation for the exam.

It will also state your level of English according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) which sets international standards for the different languages.

How to enrol in a course?

In order to enrol in one of our courses, just follow these steps:

1. Register

Complete all your details in our Registration Form (click ENROL NOW at the bottom of this page).

2. Confirmation of Application

Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email message, stating the course you have registered for and its main characteristics.

3. Details for payment

You will also receive an email message from PayPal with a payment request. Please follow the instructions there to complete the process. You do not need to have a PayPal account in order to proceed with the payment.

4. Login details and instructions

Once the payment has been processed, you will receive an email message within the following 48 hours. It will have your login details and instructions for accessing our virtual campus where you will have everything at hand to successfully complete the course.
